Welcome to Hyco Lake, where we enjoy phenomenal skiing, wakeboarding, cruising and fishing with 25 billion gallons of water. Sorry sailors, because the lake has relatively small fingers with trees abound, there are very few areas that you can catch wind. Lucky for us, Hyco offers the smoothest water around.

While some families are producing future professional skiers and wake boarders, others are just building family memories away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Hyco offers a sense of community, comradeship and a common theme of fun-in-the-sun on the lake.

On the drive here, you will find scenic country driving through the rolling hills of Northern North Carolina. Once you’re here, you will find good neighbors that become skiing partners and good friends. If skiing or boarding sounds like work to you, there are still many entertaining times on Hyco. The fishing is great and your mate will enjoy the sunset cruises. When the sun goes down, things get quiet. If you are still looking for action, you will find evening cruisers, dock parties and people floating at "New York City", the hot water discharge.
